ADULT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Next Interview Night: Tuesday February 21, 2012 6:30pm-8pm. **Please bring a completed application (download below), resume a plus. Interviews will be conducted in the order of arrival. All animal areas will be CLOSED and we will NOT be giving tours. We ask that you refrain from bringing anyone not applying to the ranch with you (i.e. Small children, friends, etc).

Interviews for our volunteer program are conducted in February and August of each year. Dates and times will be announced on the event calendar, facebook page and website several weeks in advance. Applicants must print out and bring the application linked below with them to the interview. The number of open Volunteer positions varies according to season. Qualified applicants will be required to attend an orientation and several training sessions prior to beginning working as a volunteer.

Volunteers offer invaluable support to Sharkarosa. They work with visitors and staff, animals, independently and in groups, on weekdays and weekends. They learn, help the ranch with education and conservation activities, and have fun!

An interest in animals and their conservation, along with the ability/desire to work with guests is a must. All participants are chosen through an application and interview process. Positions are limited.

Saturday volunteer slots are available once volunteer training is complete. All volunteer training must be done during the week. Criminal background checks will be done on all pending applicants.

The Adult Volunteer program is open to anyone ages 18 and up. Our volunteers provide a number of services:
1. Assist staff in cleaning out habitats, scrubbing water bowls, preparing diets.
2. Act as teacher aides to Ranch staff during field trips(Spring, Summer & Fall).
3. Act as teacher aids during Summer Camp; preparing and assisting campers with activities.
4. On Saturdays, assist staff with presentations, guest animal questions & loading/unloading Safari Trams and train rides.
